Ahhh, this 90-minute monthly practice is a delicious way to treat yourself to some necessary self-care.
Also known as yogic sleep or sleep with awareness, Yoga Nidra is an
ancient practice that is rapidly gaining popularity in the West. It is intended
to induce full-body relaxation and a deep meditative state of consciousness.
A variety of techniques—including guided imagery and body
scanning— will be utilized to aid relaxation.
To add to the bliss, you'll be treated to a 15 minute gong bath at the end of the practice. What is a gong bath? Imagine getting washed in sound vibration - as your trillions of cells begin to vibrate on a higher frequency - you'll be cleansed with the potential of removing energy blockages to open to healing.
You'll depart in a relaxed state of bliss and ready to take on the world (or at least your week).
Preregistration is strongly recommended, especially if you'd like to use props during your Yoga Nidra practice. Plus, you can save yourself $5!

No previous experience is required, and this workshop is well-suited to all bodies. Please wear comfortable layers, including socks. Mats and props are provided, though you're welcome to bring your own. If you have a favourite blanket, do bring it!
