Mandala is a Sanskrit word that means "circle" or "centre". We often associate the word mandala with circular designs that have colours, shapes, and patterns repeating from the centre. Mandalas can be precise, carefully measured, geometric and perfectly symmetrical, or in contrast, free flowing, organic and asymmetrical. Mandalas are a form that welcomes everyone.
Join Maureen & Dawna to explore not only the art of mandala making but also a beautiful mandala yoga sequence during this six-hour, two-weekend afternoon workshop series. Learn a bit of the history and various cultures that create(d) mandalas while also taking the time for self-exploration to come up with a mandala design that reflects you. You'll have the opportunity to complete your mandala in acrylic paint on 6" x 6" canvas.

In addition to being a yoga instructor, Maureen is an Art Specialist and creator of all of the painted mandalas at Collective Soul Space (including our logo). Dawna has a graphic design background and is a highly-talented artist and yoga instructor.
