7:00 - 8:00 PM
The full moon in November is called Beaver Moon; representing the activity of beavers as they prepare for the long winter ahead. It's sometimes called the Frosty Moon, definitely appropriate for our northern weather! Interestingly, as it is the final full moon prior to Winter Solstice, it is sometimes called the Mourning Moon.
It is said that at the time of the full moon, our glandular system experiences a particular pressure that invites deep healing work of emotions that are often very close to the surface or sometimes subconscious; meditation at this time is considered to be particularly beneficial. From the time of the full moon to the upcoming new moon is considered to be a time to go into reflection, planning, and inner healing work.
In the tradition of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan®, there are a couple of particularly powerful meditations meant to be practised at the time of the full moon: the Antar Naad Mudra for Full Moon and The Ring of Tantric Healing (if at least 11 people are in attendance).
Join Maureen for an hour on Tuesday, October 23rd for an extra-special time of contemplation, meditation with mantra, and a sound healing with the gong. Preregistration is encouraged, as we need at least 11 people for this to be a 'go'.
If registering online, you'll be charged $11. If wishing to use your CSS punch pass, just send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org OR to email@example.com.
This session is 'pay what you can'. You may choose to pay cash, or use your CSS punch pass. Minimum $5 requested.
